1Lab results done before, or at another lab
Patients can’t add lab results to their chart themselves. Results they had done before, or at another lab, reach the chart through your team.
How the patient sends it: they write to you in Messages and attach the report, as a PDF or a photo of each page. They can also email or fax it to the clinic.
How you put it on the chart: open the attachment from the message and save it, then on Labs press Upload Results, add the file, pick the Patient and press Scan Document. The values are read off the page; check them and press Done.
If the name or date of birth on the report doesn’t match the chart, it stops and asks you before saving anything.
When the patient sees it: once it is reviewed and released, like any other result.
This is not the same as labs included in a membership. Those are lab credits a plan carries, set up in Products → Memberships under Labs included.
If letting patients upload their own results is something you’d like Aminova to support, send it through Suggestions (bottom of the sidebar) with a bit more detail and we’ll consider it.
2Many old reports at once, or by fax
Several PDFs: on Labs, open Bulk Import, press Choose files and pick up to 40. Check the chart for each under Waiting to be filed, then press Save to chart.
By fax: results faxed to your clinic’s fax number arrive in Labs → Results Inbox, under Waiting for a chart. Confirm whose chart each goes on, then review it.
From the chart, with Nova: on the chart’s Forms & Files tab, press Upload, add the files and tick Read these into the chart. Nova shows what it found, labs included, and nothing is added until you confirm.
Results from a whole previous system come in with your data import, in Data imports.
